Grandpa in Town

We were lucky enough to have Grandpa come and visit us for a couple of days.  Since he has moved to Utah, we don't see as much of him as we used to and so it is always nice to have him come back for a visit.

Jack wanting to be just like his Grandpa.

While Grandpa Pete was in town, we went to a professional lacrosse game- the Chesapeake Bayhawks were playing the Charlotte Hounds.  This was our first "aventure" out to professional lacrosse and it was fun to see Danny Glading and Adam Ghitelman on teams that weren't UVA.

Before the game, they had a bunch of booths set up and a mini-lacrosse field for the little kids.  Jack is being taught how to handle his first faceoff.

I think that Jack was paying more attention to his friends on the sideline than he was the balls that were flying past his head.

Jack's friend Nick is a boyscout and was invited to usher the players out onto the field.  Jack couldn't resist the invitation to participate even though he could barely keep his stick up.

We have been amazed lately at how big Ainsley has gotten in our eyes.  Here she is, already wanting to sit on her own bench.
