Saturday was a beautiful day in Silver Spring so we tried to take advantage of it and headed outside to get some work done in our yard. The amount of work that needs to be done to the backyard is a bit daunting, and honestly, we have been procrastinating. Jack finally said that enough was enough and that we had to get to work so that he could have somewhere to play this summer. Since his parents have been such slackers, Jack wanted to come out and supervise to make sure that we were really working and not goofing off. So we put him in all of the proper attire and set him in his stroller where he could monitor us.
He was starting to get a little bored just watching so it is a good thing that Max and Grandpa showed up to play. Max was very helpful - I think that he worked harder than Nick. He helped me collect all of the sticks that were lying around in the grass and helped me carry them back into the woods.
Looking at the back yard, it honestly doesn't look like a lot got done this weekend. The yard was one of the major selling points of this house. It is so open and flat that we hope that Jack will get a lot of use out of it once he gets bigger. Maybe, by that time, we will have made some progress.

Wow, the backyard does look big. That will be lots of fun for Jack. It looks like you have a really great deck too. I bet you can hardly wait for summer. Hey, thanks for the link for the blog books. I had been trying to decide the best way to print out all of my entries. The book is definitely the way to go. Yay!
